Investigation of Radio Frequency Signal Propagation of Wireless Services in Oyo, Oyo State, South Western Nigeria

This study reported the investigation of Radio Frequency (RF) signal propagation Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) coverage in Emmanuel Alayande College Education (EACOED), Oyo, Oyo State, Nigeria. The aims at amplifying quality service and augment end users' sensitivity wireless services operation. drive test method is adopted with estimation level received strength. Network Cell Info Lite application installed three INFINIX GSM mobile phones was employed to take measurement strength from transmitting stations different networks. results revealed that MTN has maximum a mean value - 68.33 dBm, directly followed by Globacom (-80.41 dBm) Airtel -83.13 dBm. conspicuously invariable poor performance 41.66 %. Conversely, reception are observed surpass network within college premises 83.33 % 60.41 respectively. implies networks were comparatively disseminated inconsequential fluctuations while subsided weaken. some areas due presence physical impediments far distances location base station antennas promulgation locations. therefore suggested Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) should be positioned improve good reportage level.
